Collection: Sweaters
Sweaters fit & measurement guide
Fits vary across this collection. Check each product’s size chart and garment measurements where available. A size label alone does not tell you how roomy or long a sweater will be.
Measure and compare
-
Your chest: Wrap a tape around the fullest part of your chest, under your arms. Keep it level and comfortably snug, without pulling tight.
-
Garment width: Lay a sweater that fits you well flat, without stretching it. Measure across the chest from underarm to underarm. Double this flat width to estimate the chest circumference. Flat width is not the same as your body chest measurement. The extra room between garment circumference and your chest is called ease.
-
Garment length: Measure your reference sweater from the highest shoulder point beside the neckline down to the hem. Follow the product’s stated measurement method if it differs. Consider where the hem will fall on your torso: cropped, hip-length or longer.
-
Shoulder placement: A seam near your natural shoulder edge creates a more defined outline. A dropped seam sits farther down the upper arm for a relaxed silhouette. On dropped-shoulder styles, seam-to-seam width is not your body shoulder width. Compare chest room, upper-arm room and length together.
True-to-size, relaxed or oversized?
True-to-size generally means choosing your usual size for the intended fit, not necessarily a tight fit. Relaxed and oversized cuts are designed with extra room, but are not always longer. Compare the listed measurements with a sweater you like rather than automatically sizing up or down. Sizing down may also reduce sleeve room and length.
There is no single fit across all Sweaters. Check each product’s measurements where available. If measurements are missing, contact us before ordering for help choosing a size.
